Monday 07 December 2009. Janashakthi Insurance clinched a Silver Award in the Insurance Category for the second consecutive year at the recent National Business Excellence Awards 2009. |

Speaking on this achievement General Manager Sales & Marketing of Janashakhti Insurance said that Janashakthi was happy to enjoy a winning streak through 2009, its 15th anniversary year. “We’re humbled by the confidence placed in us by the distinguished panel of judges headed by Dr. Uditha Liyanage, Director, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). This is, in no uncertain terms, yet another endorsement by the people of Sri Lanka”. |

Weeks prior to this, Janashakthi was bestowed with dual honours at the glittering 18th World Brand Congress Ceremony for Brand Excellence by winning the prestigious “Award for Brand Leadership – Service Industry” and the “Award for Social Marketing”. This was hailed internationally as a singular endorsement of its endeavor in brand building and brand management efforts. |

The National Business Excellence Awards is an annual award competition conducted by National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) with a view to recognising the business enterprises, which have demonstrated excellence in business while contributing to the economic progress of the country. |

Having commenced in 2004 as NBEA 2004 the National Business Excellence Awards have recognized the top class business which excelled in their performance every year. |

Applications were evaluated on the basis of a 8-point criterion and reviewed and evaluated in a three-stage process – Desk Review, Interviews and Judges' Final Review. The Panel of Judges have made their final selection of the awardees after a careful review of all preliminary evaluation reports on the interviews and site visits. |
