Janashakthi on a winning streak

Colombo, 21st December, 2011: Janashakthi Insurance PLC has an exceptionally successful run garnering recognition with back to back accolades that include the CMO Asia Awards, Asian Leadership Awards, SLIM (Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing) Brand Excellence Awards, World Brand Congress Awards, National Business Excellence Awards 2011 and the recently held ICASL (Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka) Annual Report Awards 2011.

Janashakthi's Managing Director Prakash Schaffter said, “Continuous improvement is a practice we have tried to inculcate in our pursuit of excellence. Winning awards are a nice reminder that we get it right at times and are better than competition or at least in the top end of the league. But eventually the most important award is the one that our customer gives us by giving us business and trusting us by coming back to us year on year. Our industry is pivoted around managing risk with long-term trust. Our ethos is to build consumer trust by being simply the best at what we do so that customers can expect fair value when they are most vulnerable”.
Janashakthi was the only Sri Lankan insurance company to secure top honours at the 2nd CMO Asia Awards for Excellence in Branding and Marketing with the “Award for Brand Excellence” in the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance category. Hosted by the World Brand Congress, the awards were presented at a glittering ceremony at Suntec, Singapore amidst a large gathering of representatives from Asia and the Middle Eastern region.
