Twenty three years of service to the community has transformed Janashakthi from being a single operation Life Insurance Company that began in 1994 to being the third largest Non-Life Insurer and the sixth largest Life Insurer in Sri Lanka. 

Our settlement history speaks for itself – over Rs. 6 billion paid in claims and stated capital of Rs. 4.8 billion. Our commitment to our customers is served by our 3000+ employee base who have been pacesetters in customer service and in developing benefits that go the extra mile. This has all enabled us to achieve many firsts in Sri Lanka, many of which were achieved in our early years of operation.

Janashakthi is home to 2,222 employees and 2,236 sales agents and services approximately 550,000 Life policy holders and 522,000 policies in Non-Life Insurance.

To address the Insurance needs of its customer base, Janashakthi has an island wide branch network of 113 branches, a 24-hour call centre and an around the clock assessor service, and ensures that customer relationships are reinforced through the company's active Customer Relationship Management unit. 

Today, Janashakthi stands strong as a leader in Motor, Non-Motor and Life Insurance services and continues resolutely on its vision of lighting the lamp of Insurance in every home and work place.
